Terms of Service

Split Circle lets you track shared expenses with friends, family, roommates, or anyone else. The core features are free. We offer an optional Pro subscription with additional features (see Section 5).

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We'll notify you of any changes that materially affect your use of the service.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

One person, one account. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.

Split Circle is for legitimate expense tracking. You may not use the service to:

• Track expenses related to illegal activity.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the service without written permission.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

Expense descriptions, group names, and other data you enter belong to you. By submitting content to the service, you grant us a limited license to store and display it to you and your group members as part of providing the service. We don't claim ownership of your data.

Don't enter sensitive personal or financial data (such as full credit card numbers or bank account details) in expense descriptions. Split Circle tracks amounts and who owes whom. It does not process payments.

Split Circle Pro is an optional paid tier. Current pricing: $2.99/month (or equivalent in your local currency). Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel any time from your account settings or through the App Store / Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.

Payments are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. Their billing terms apply to your purchase. We do not store your payment card details.

Split Circle is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be available 100% of the time, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Split Circle is not a financial service. It does not process payments, hold funds, or provide financial advice. Any disputes about actual money between users are between those users.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
